Dalasi and the foregn currencies

A statement on Saturday from the Office of the President said it had come to the notice of the government that businessmen, especially landlords, were refusing to accept the local currency during business transactions, but were requesting foreign currencies. It asked anyone who refuses to do business in the local currency to leave the country. The government asked the general public to report anyone who refuses to transact business in the local currency. The NIA and police have also been ordered to conduct a nationwide search and arrest anyone involved in illegal currency trade.
